Mumble Note is an AI-powered, voice-first note taker to help you quickly capture inspirations and organize ideas. Since our launch, we’ve been tweaking and improving the app to make it more intuitive and enjoyable to use. Today, we’re rolling out Mumble Note Beta, with updates to make your daily note-taking smoother and more efficient.

Here’s what’s new and how you can use it:

  1. Dual Input Model: Speak or Type (or Both!)

Sometimes speaking your thoughts feels more natural; other times,  typing is easier. Now you can do both in Mumble Note:

  • Record or type easily: On the home page, tap 🎙️ to record a voice note or ✏️ to type a text note.

  • Combine both inputs: You can combine both in the same note. Type while you talk, or freely add audio to a text note to provide more context.

  • Generate transcripts and summaries: Tap the Generate button (the wing-pen icon), and AI will merge your voice and text into a clean, structured summary.

  1. Meeting Mode: Capture Ideas from Conversations

Some of the best ideas and inspirations often come up during conversations, but taking notes in the middle of a discussion can feel chaotic. That’s why we built Meeting Mode—to help you capture and organize these moments effortlessly.

  • Add participants easily: Start a voice note and tap the “+” button next to your avatar to add participant names.

  • Take notes during the discussion: Jot down key points as the conversation unfolds.

  • Generate transcripts and summaries: Tap Generate to create a multi-speaker transcript and a summary based on your discussions and notes.

  1. Inbox: Gather and Work with Your Visual Content

Visuals are often at the heart of our ideas—a screenshot you saved as a quick reminder, a reference photo that caught your eye, or a link to explore later. But when these things are scattered across different apps and albums, it’s hard to keep track of them. That’s why we created Inbox.

  • Organize visuals in one place: It brings all your screenshots, images, and links together, whether they’re selected from your album, shared from other apps, or saved in your notes.

  • Turn visuals into notes: Tap on any item to “mumble on it”—turn it into a note and let your thoughts take shape around the content.

Inbox is more than just a gallery. It transforms visual content into something more: a starting point for new ideas, projects, and inspiration.

  1. To-dos Tab and AI actions

For many of our users, Mumble Note isn’t just a note-taking tool—it’s also a quick way to track and manage their to-dos. That’s why we’ve refreshed our AI Actions feature to make it more useful:

  • Generate tasks instantly: After creating a note, tap the AI Action button to generate a to-do list or rewrite the content into a different format.

  • Centralize task management: To make to-dos easier to manage, we’ve added a dedicated To-Dos Tab. It gathers all the to-dos generated from your notes in one place, so you can review and organize them with ease.

  1. Update on Collections: Bring Ideas Together

Collections help you automatically group related notes, acting like a personal assistant for your thoughts. Whether you’re working on a project or reflecting on past ideas, Collections makes it easy to bring everything together.

  • Define collections with ease: Use your voice or type to tell Mumble Note what kind of collection you need, like “Product ideas from last month” or “Meeting notes with Kyle.”

  • Find related notes quickly: The app will find and organize all the relevant notes for you in chronological order.

It’s a simple way to keep your ideas connected, so you can focus on building on them instead of searching for them.

  1. Update on Keywords: Connect Notes with a Tap

Keywords is a handy way to link your thoughts and find related notes. We’ve made it easier to use in this update:

  • Mark important words with long press: You can still mark any word or phrase in a note as a keyword, just like before.

  • Explore connections in-context: Now, instead of jumping to a separate tab, tapping a keyword brings up a list of related notes right in the same view. This lets you see all other notes containing the keyword without leaving your current note.
